Types of Leather

Aniline leather

Aniline leather is a type of leather that is dyed and does not contain a top-coat on the finished leather. This preserves the hide's natural surface but does not protect it from damage. The raw hides must be specifically selected since the finished hides will remain mostly intact, showing even small imperfections. Aniline leather is very soft to touch, breathable, and has a luxurious appeal.

Semi-Aniline leather

Semi-Aniline leather only uses a slight layer of pigment on its surface in order to conceal the natural defects on the skin, but the leather still retain its natural soft touch.

Pigmented leather

Pigmented leather is durable, low maintenance, and available in a wide variety of colours and styles. Pigmented leather gets its name from the layer of coloured pigment that is applied to the surface of the leather. This layer of coloured pigment gives the leather a vibrant and uniform appearance.
